King salmon — also known as Chinook — are the largest and most powerful salmon species in the Great Lakes. Smallmouth bass are widely regarded as the hardest-fighting freshwater fish pound for pound — and Green Bay delivers some of the finest smallmouth fishing in the Great Lakes region. These bronze-sided bruisers stack up on rocky points, gravel bars, and current breaks throughout the bay. From explosive topwater strikes in early summer to deep structure fishing in the heat of August, smallmouth keep anglers on their toes from first cast to last.
